I FURIOSI: Love Us
Strider
April 30, 2008
Hey Peoples,
Wanted to reiterate what a nice time it was seeing you all and what a pleasure it was working with you. Now, a little embarrassing, but I've been jealous of everyone sporting their cool I Furiosi shirts and was wondering if you might be able to send one my way. I'd be happy to compensate any payment or shipping. They're just too cool.

Always wondered whether I could combine my love of masochism with my love of historically informed baroque performance. Now I have the answer...

Re: Bad.
Please, tell me again: what is the name of the actress who participated in Bad? I know you posted an additional program note at the entrance, but by the time I decided that I wanted this info, the notice had been tidied away.

But compare,similar word:
"splendiferous, a.
1. Full of, abounding in, splendour. Obs.
2. colloq. Remarkably fine; magnificent."

Speaking on behalf of myself & Co. the concert a while ago was really, really splendiforus! even though that's not a word (you see, I enjoyed it so much I had to make up a word to describe how great it was.....but that's what you get from someone who puts "quotation marks" in the middle of her name.....)

CRAZY! That was a trip! Never a moment's chance of feeling the pews hard or being lulled to sleep by the continuo.

Your version of "Somewhere" had my girlfriend and I crying in a Toronto church...we're in a (temorary, hopefully) long distance relationship and it hit the nerve. Fantastic stuff.

Thank you for the special Pride performance. You've exploded so many of my prejudices, I mean about music and concerts. Like, I never knew till this performance that it's possible to enjoy a whole concert, of classical music, without being forced to sit through a couple of tedious modernistic pieces that some musicologist has decided will be "good for us."
Like, not all soprano solists are 'screechy sopranos.' You even overcame my prejudice against audienceiparticipation gimmicks. And, Felix, not all parents who recommend their kid's music recitals to their friends are deafened by love; yours aren't.

I remember when our mutual friend Etai took me to a concert to see you perform many years ago... since then I have seen you all grow greater into the musicians that you are today! I truly believe that Toronto is greatly fortunate to have you!
I must admit that I'm really looking forward to the concert on the 13'th.
You all are going very very far in your musical careers. Truly gifted.

Hello all, Gabrielle, we have seen you perform over the years with Arcady (and once at Calvin Presbyterian. Just recently we went to the Tafelmusik sing a long Messiah at we saw the musicians there; very recognizable (forgive me for not knowing your names right now; I have to go back to 'know us' for that!). The CD sounds really good; is it only available on this website? I will be emailing again! All the best on your performances! Margaret VanderVelde

Just wanted to tell all y'all that I'm playing at the Cascade Head Music Festival in Oregon and I forced my colleagues to listen to Defiled and they all flipped for it. This clarinet player said he had never heard anything like it in his life.
Missing you guys and wishing I was at the season finale, heard it was awesome!

Happy Birthday, Julie!
When does a one-stringed instrument have twenty-four strings?
When a Tromba Marina has three strings and 21 sympathetic strings, as one does that I heard about yesterday. It would have been fun for you to have it at your last concert!

My wife and I attended a Tafelmusik concert last night - as we have done and enjoyed for at least the last 20 years. At coffee break I purchased your CD, admittedly, on a whim and today I played it. I have been blown away! The quality, clarity, emotion and passion of your music is phenomenal. I look forward to attending your concert on March 31st.
Thank you.
