Ma folle! E che vaneggi?
E non t’avvedi che il traditor non t’ode?
Anze ti sola hor prende a scherno,
Trionfando il felon della sua frode.
E tu, infelice, hor spargi al vento
Le doglie, le querele, e il tormento.
Torna dunque in te stessa e ti ramenta,
Che già sei resa infame,
On de mostrar tu devi a Roma e al Mondo
Che chi non hà più honor deve morire.
Svenati dunque, e intanto apri la mano,
Cio che non sà temer core Romano.

TRANSLATION
This is crazy! What raving is this?
Do you not see that the traitor does not hear?
And that he only holds you in contempt.
The felon, triumphing in his fraud.
And you, unhappy, now scatter to the winds
Your woe, your laments, and your torment.
